To answer that, I need to go back a little. Since I was a child, I’ve always loved working with my hands creating, designing, and giving shape to something from nothing. Cholpan means Venus in ancient Turkic; the brightest star in the morning sky. In my culture, it's more than just a star; it's a symbol of hope, inspiration, and finding your way. I chose this name to honor my roots and to remind us that no matter where we are in life, we all carry a light worth following.

Cholpan is based in Dublin, Ireland. Each bag is carefully designed here with a focus on quality, simplicity, and timeless style. We only use materials that reflect the care and intention behind every piece.

It depends on the design. Each piece is handcrafted with care, and the process takes time. A mini bag can take about a full day to complete, while a larger one may take up to three days. For some designs, we hand-weave around 750 beads for a mini and up to 1200 for a maxi. Every bead is placed with intention to create something truly special.

Each order is carefully packed, you will receive your bag, stuffed with filling, in a dust bag and a Cholpan bag accompanied
by a special greeting card for a truly enchanting unboxing experience.
